Jiten is a practising architect, author and academic in the field of solar passive architecture and sustainability since 1995.
He is the co-author two books on the subject including “Handbook on Energy Conscious Buildings – Nayak and Prajapati” with IIT-Bombay.
He has designed India’s first Zero Energy School campus at Bhikangaon, MP.
Jiten has been visiting faculty at several Institutes such as Academy of Architecture, Mumbai and CEPT, Ahmedabad.
In 2021, he was a Grand Jury Member for first Solar Decathlon of India. He is also a GRIHA – Certified Professional.
Projects and Activities
We have designed and collaborated on a number of research, architectural and consultancy projects.
One of the projects that we were involved in as consultants for energy efficiency i.e. IIT - Dharwad recently (in 2022) received a GRIHA 4 Star rating
(GRIHA : Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment)
The focus is on providing client centric services in terms of
functionality, design and fiscal prudence.

1) Plenary Speaker for 9th ICAER (International Conference on Advances in Energy Research ) at IIT-Bombay (2023)
2) Review and Divisional Jury Member of Solar Decathlon India for past three years (2020-2021, 2021-22, 2022-23)
99 student teams from across India participated in this event for design a net zero energy, net zero water and resilient buildings.
3) Review of Design of Team Shunya for US Solar Decathlon and Workshop on Climate Consultant - 2022
Congratulations to Team Shunya of IIT-Bombay for approval of Build Challenge 2023 of the US Solar Decathlon organised by the US Department of Energy, and getting funding of 50,000 US Dollars. I am pleased to have reviewed their design.
As part of their awareness building campaign "Sustain Workshop", I conducted a session on Climate Consultant.
